today's reason Sara Freeman is my favorite professor:
i sent her a casual e-mail about an advising meeting and mentioned a trib review by Chris Jones. this quickly be came a correspondence in which Sara recounted the history of scholarly interpretations of shakespeare, chicago theatre politics, historiography and the Pacino film version of Merchant. Sara is the one professor who can get me excited enough about something to want to go out and do tons of research on it. she offered to loan me a copy of The Jew of Malta, so now I have to mind time to read that. and Marlow is not an easy guy to just sit down and read.
